How will making changes to you article content or title affect traffic

    I have an article which is performing quite decently (about 100 views a day). I want to make some changes to the title and add more content to the article to improve its views. But I am concerned that once I make these changes the current ranking of my article will be affected and it will start from square one.

    So if my article is listed in the first page of a particular keyword search now, will any edits made decrease its performance?

      As long as the changes improve the article you should have no problems.

    I've made similar changes to some of mine *one that gets approximately 200 views per day" and I haven't noticed any significant changes...it might drop off a little for a few days or that might have just been a coincidence with mine but it picked back up again and remains steady.

    I tweak my titles several months after I have published if I am not happy with traffic. Chaging the title can improve traffic quite a bit. If you already have good traffic, however, I do not think it is a good idea to change it too much. No, your article will never start out from zero, but if your new title is not as interesting you may not have as many clicks.
    As far as editing and adding to the article, that is a good idea. As long as you are not just adding fillers, the improved hub will have more information, contain more keywords, and should attract more search traffic. Again, the views will not go down to zero. It may not rank at the top for the new keywords, but it will definitely not lose rank on the old keywords.
