In the several months that I've had my hubpages account, I didn't have a single amazon sale. What could be the reason for this and how can I change it?

My best selling product goes at the rate of about 1 purchase for 700 views.  It is a specialized item, available as far as I know, only through Amazon and is necessary to complete the task the hub is about and the reader interested in.

I do have a couple more that sell at about the same rate but that are not nearly so specialized.  They are also much cheaper ($10 vs $150

Most of what I sell moves at a much slower rate - a general average might be one item for 1500 views.

Are you expecting too much and are you sure you have set up HP for amazon earnings?

I looked over your hubs and found one that has an Amazon link for a pasta strainer. The problem is that your hub is a recipe for a Russian Fruit and Berry Punch. You need to only use Amazon ads that are 100% related to the subject. I’m actually surprised that didn’t get snipped when your hub was moved to Delishably.

If you write a hub that’s a review of that particular pasta strainer, and focus on it and describe how you are using it, then it will have a better chance at selling.

I have several hubs with Amazon ads that do well in niche sites (sales almost every day), but they are the focus of the article.

Listen to what Glenn Stok said.

If you really want to sell amazon stuff, one idea is to write articles about products on amazon. Go into tremendous detail about such products, tell about how the product is joyous for you to use, and also mention similar products, and how they compare.

Most of your articles do not lend themselves to adding Amazon products. You can add a link to Amazon for rabbit cookie cutters but should not add a capsule. As wilderness pointed out, the link will probably not get many sales as there is not much traffic.
Your best bet is to follow Wesmans advice and write something more specific. Only do this if it is an Amazon product you use and are positive about. If you do not use it, the reader can usually tell and you will not be getting any sales.
