My Google AdSense account was approved and its status says Active. However, I'm seeing all this stuff about copying and pasting HTML code onto your website in order to use AdSense. Do I need to be doing that? Or is that stuff already taken care of behind the scenes? I want so be sure the ads are running.
It's taken care of. Once you have an account, and have configured your HP account with it, you're set.
It is done. You do not need to copy and paste AdSense code unto the website. Hubpages had done it for you and others.

Welcome to the Adsense publisher family. Now you should join the Hubpages Ad program, which will probably do you a better turn than Adsense, and absolutely, for the love of all that is holy in web publishing, get an amazon account too.
