Links to commenters Profiles

    On the network site hubs, the comments show the profile picture and name of the commenters who are fellow hubbers, but these are not being linked to their profiles, although they are linked when the hubs are on the HubPages domain. Why is that? Is it deliberate or a bug?

      This is deliberate. Profiles live on HubPages and we don't want the Network Sites linking to HubPages too often because it makes it more likely that Google will apply any penalties that are on HubPages to all the Network Sites as well.

        Thanks a lot for explaining Christy. But could we not have no-follow links? That way you are not giving Google a chance to penalize, and if someone's interested they can still visit the profiles.

        The current setup is definitely inconvenient, in my opinion. For e.g., if I find a comment interesting, and want to know more about the commenter, I'll have to open a separate window, go to hubPages.com, locate the search tool and search for their name. With no-follow links, we could just click and visit profiles which interest us and find their hubs too.
