I just got back from a doc's visit.

I mention this because usually several chaotic, experimental, metaphysical posts result from for the next several days. I thought just once I might give a courtesy note of such. I've leaned to direct myself to slam bang chess game wars in such cases, but there might be some spillover. I apologize in advance for what may be misinterpreted in the next several days. I do try for hard truth, but I also do metaphysical and whatever experimental may have been on my mind. And I freely admit to stupid comments I have made here in the past. Here's for a major, traffic-generating bonanza for HP. Or not. I might just, plain remain silent. I just don't know.

Made a positive post elsewhere.  (took more corrections than to make the original post).

I am guessing the doctor's visit was upsetting. But it is hard to react without knowing what happened.

No reaction expected, just making an explanation.

I just read a novel about super intelligent space spiders. They converse with flutters of their pedipalps and little stamps of their feet. Some dance.

Their cities communicate using the vibrations sent down long skeins of silk.

Pretty much all communication is good. Keep trying.

Do these spiders also travel out of their planet? Since they are space spiders?

Indeed they do. They construct a complex web around their home planet to protect it against invading humans.

Their tame ant colonies function as factories, computers and armies. Having mastered biochemistry, the spiders are a formidable adversary.

It is called Children of Time, by Adrian Tchaikovsky.

I don't normally read scifi, though I like some of the stuff on TV. Then I read "War of the Worlds" and it was strong enough to give me nightmares (literally).

That was written in 1895, lol. Thought I might try something more recent.

Must admit I mistook him for a Russian. If someone is a good enough writer to get translated from Russian, it is worth a look.

Turned out he was from Woodhall Spa, poor man.

Oddly. I have a large, wooden storage box outside. Inside that box the thing is infested with these weird critters. Button shaped and look like spiders, but only have 6 legs. Am not kidding and not a joke. I'm going to have to get around to dealing with whatever that is going on there one of these days.

Do not expose them to radiation or mutagenic chemicals. You do not want to encourage rapid evolution.
