Had a sudden spike in views for one of my articles and it's coming from Facebook. When I look it up on Facebook, there is one person who shared it and it got some likes and comments on his post, a few shares; but this I don't think explains the number of views - which was over a thousand - which is unusual for this article. Is there a way to pinpoint where/how this article ended getting so much traffic from Facebook?
No. You'd never be able to find out. The site is so gigantic, and there are private groups. You understand, a group can be set up in a few different ways, but they can be made private so that non members can not see what is going on in the group.
I recently had a similar experience. It was a nice spike.
It made me think that it it would always be good to include an Amazon link for something pertinent... when you get a thousand or two new views, chances are that a few people will click.
I don't think so although Ubersuggest shows the number of social shares for an article in the right hand window under "keyword ideas". If a share is on a Facebook page, it can be found if you search in Facebook for the URL. Links in groups or on personal pages don't show up.

Why would my views triple over one day, then drop back down to normal?

My article that almost, in the span of about a week, went viral and went on HealDove, has lost views. What does that mean?
