So I received notification today that three of my poems have been selected for the HubPages Network Site. I can see by the email it’s a great thing but I just don’t know what that means? Lol
What is the Network site?
Why were my poems selected?
Is it a different site?
Sorry I know a lot of questions. I would really appreciate any insight on this or if you could possibly direct me to a knowledge base about it?
Thank you in Advance!
Chris Rowe
Generally speaking, having your articles moved to a network site is a good thing. They tend to attract more traffic. The network sites were set up in response to Google's punishment of hubpages.com a few years ago.
However, poetry is moved to Letterpile, which doesn't tend to do well traffic-wise. Also poetry doesn't attract search engine traffic in its own right. If you are able to write full, informative articles, you will do much better here.
Welcome to HubPages, Chris! If you go to hubpages.com, you will see all of our Network Sites—signed in, they are on the right, signed out, they are the homepage. Every Network Site has its own editorial policy and guidelines for acceptance. We only accept the highest quality articles to these sites. Letterpile is our site for writers with poetry, fiction writing, etc, and theraggededge is correct that it doesn't see much Google traffic. However, if you don't care about that, it's a great place to put your writing. HubPagesHelp is also a great place to get more information about our platform. For the best shot at being accepted on our Network Sites, I recommend our Style Guide.
