I’ve filed a DMCA copyright violation notice with Google, but they respond, "we were unable to locate the content in question."
But clicking the link I supplied, which they copy in their email saying they can't find it, takes you directly to the offending page. The copied content is all that's on that page. Why can’t Google see it?
I'm wondering if they have some relatively stupid automated system that somehow can't see the obvious.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to get Google to have an actual person take a look? If they did, they couldn't miss it.
This often happens when I submit DMCA copyright violations. I reckon you're right as regards the automated system. Either it's totally automated and the initial reply is from an automated system, or else it's a case of "the computer says no" and the human operator doesn't have the cop on to find the content. Usually I just reply to them and tell them to look for it and that seems to work. Sometimes the content has been removed in the meantime by the person who copied it, so that's why it can't be found.

There is so much of this going on that it may not be worthwhile to mention. Since I know that this site is not cooperative, I sent my DMCA complaint to Google. My hub is copied word for word with all the lovely photographs and even a link to another similar hub. It probably is my best hub with lots...

Someone here at HubPages has copied one of my articles. It was actually HubPages that added a copyright symbol letting me know. I flagged and notified HubPages of this but the story is still up. Why would I have to file a DMCA report when it's in house and HubPages knows about this violation? The...

For close to a decade now I have become increasingly frustrated by having to routinely pick an article off one of my hubs or sites, and search for copied content, before sending out on average about 30 - 40 DMCA notices each and every time. While for the most part articles get taken down,...
