So here is the article that is not featured because of "spammy elements" which I feel I removed myself already (I had excessively long lore videos).: https://hubpages.com/games-hobbies/Warh … aking-Part
All the sources are relevant, everything is in its place as far as I can tell, minus the spam-worthy videos of excessive length. Any suggestions as to what I'm missing? Do I need to unpublish and republish?
Do you have permission to use the photos? HubPages only allows Creative Commons licensed photos or photos taken by authors. You can't just help yourself to photos from websites. That is considered theft and is illegal. If you have permission from the website to use the photos, then you must state that.
I have been assured that all the photos are for use within the public domain, as every single one is sourced from a public domain provider. I linked back to where I found it originally, however, just to avoid any conflict that may arise, though I don't see why any would.
Thanks for the feedback!
Deviantart is not a public domain image provider
And they will unpublish hubs using copyright images, but generally only if someone complains
The owner of the image claims it is there for the taking, so long as they get credit for it. Perhaps I am confused as to what makes something public domain and/or free to use.
The weird thing is that HP actually says that they do not check image rights and the only condition is that the images are not pixelated.
Probably because they're based in California, and the laws exclude them from liability as it concerns what people post. The only exception is if they are in direct violation of the law after a crime has been reported to them, if they are aware of a crime they are obligated to address it.
Unless I'm mistaken about their server locale.
I can say with near certainty that the video length was not an issue. If it was the problem would have been solved. I feel it is the many amazon links in a relatively short article.
Unfortunate, I thought that despite missing about 180 words it wouldn't matter if all the links were relevant. I killed the least useful and relevant one, people could find it on their own anyways. Thank you!

Is it against copyright laws to take a photo of the cover or pictures inside my books to use in my hubs? or photos of portraits/paintings from unknown artists I have on my wall?

Hi there, joined HP a little while ago but only just got round to writing my first hub. It is going to be an historical piece but seem to be spending most of my time trying to find who owns copyright to the images I would like to use, which are all dated between 1920's and 1950's, and then trying...

I am new to hubpags and am wondering where you obtain legal images to post on your hub? Obviously if the photo's or artwork is yours you are ok, but what about images pertaining to fashion or even art from research.
