Using LaTeX Generated Equations in an Article

I was considering using an online LaTeX equation editor to produce GIFs for equations in an article and interleaving them between lines of text. The problem would be that there would be lots of GIFS, and ads could be plonked in the middle, breaking up the flow. I could merge the images, or maybe I can add explanatory text in the equation editor?

Why merge the images instead of just taking one screenshot? Do you plan on making animated gifs or just the gif static image format?

How would any explanatory text help you with the ads conundrum? Can you add an image to an equation capsule? I have never used an equation capsule here, hence the question.

I would have lines of explanatory text interleaved between equations.

That makes sense. But ads could still show up in between an image of the equation and the explanatory text which is a shame. I wish HP was latex friendly. The other day I wrote an article where I needed to mention temperatures. I did not want to superscript an O for degree, but the editors did it for me before moving it to a niche site. I had it typed out as degrees Celsius. This is not really a problem because it looks the same, but in your case it get's extremely difficult to work around stuff without Latex.

The online equation editors seem to have a facility for adding inline text (there's a check box that turns on the formatting). However I get a "system error" when I do this. I'll check out what the syntax should be.

Why not install texmaker and mictek on your system instead of using an online tool? You get complete control. It may take you up to an hour to set it up, but if you use equations often, it's definitely worth the time investment.
