Has HP already reviewed all old articles for transfer to niche sites?

I'm curious about this because I have a lot of old articles that I'm pretty sure have not been reviewed. Many of these articles are 8 years old. This is why I asked awhile back about whether people have been going through their old articles to submit them to niche sites. Many of these old articles I've edited over time too. Slightly perplexed why they haven't been moved if they've been reviewed but it also makes sense to me that they haven't been reviewed considering that the site has more than 700,000 articles.

If you are not editing these articles and then submitting them to Network Sites, it is not likely that they will be reviewed.

When the niche sites were first created, they moved all the high-traffic Hubs to the niche sites (I think it was the top 20% of all  Hubs).

After that, editors spent several months cherry-picking more Hubs to fill gaps in the niche sites (for instance, Pethelpful might have had plenty of Hubs about dogs but only one or two about turtles - so they'd look for more on turtles).

So yes, well-written Hubs that weren't in the top 20% probably did not get looked at, unless you submitted them for consideration - which we've always been encouraged to do.

Well, I'm going to get to work on it. One every couple weeks, not sure how long it will take me. big_smile

That's interesting. I couldn't remember how they were approaching the issue, if they were gong to try to  go through all of them or what; though I do recall they were going for the higher trafficked articles at the beginning of this process. When I think about it, it would be very difficult to go through all of them. smile

I remember the 20% figure because it gelled with what we've been told so often - that 20% of our articles make 80% of the site's income.

I think, at the time, they may have said something about trawling through HuibPages to find all the high quality articles - but I always felt that wouldn't last long, because the cost/benefit analysis wouldn't make sense. If the articles left behind represented only 20% of the site's income, how could you justify paying editors hours to sift through them?
