What's the Point of the New Positioning of Ads?

There seem to be more ads, but earnings haven't changed. Have earnings increased but we're getting a smaller fraction of revenue? (The 60/40 percent share agreement doesn't exist any more other than for Amazon ads as I understand it. At least it's not in the TOS).

This year my earnings are down a significant amount compared to the last two years for September. It's disheartening as this is the start of my high season.

I cannot compare cpms as I had the glitch that caused them to be wrong, but from what I can tell before and after that glitch, cpms are a bit lower this year for me than the previous two years which would account for the decrease in earnings.

My CPMs are a little higher but earnings are not better since the traffic has decreased after the Maven change.
HP total earnings have probably gone up since they are likely keeping much more of the ad revenue. If our articles do lose page rank on Google, which I would expect as the pages now look so bad (higher bounce rate/less time on page), the revenue to Maven will eventually go down, so they will most likely lower the CPMs even more.

I've seen people say they lost rank on Google, but I never have much luck with figuring out where my true ranking should be.

I did notice I lost the snippet on Bing, but honestly not surprised. As you said the pages still look pretty bad and with all the ads and now the new unrelated video at the top, the pages are loading ridiculously slow.

I know you've had issues with seeing ads since the move to the new platform in the UK, but I'm curious if you or anyone else has seen this issue. I've emailed the team and Matt says he cannot reproduce it.

On Dengarden, Reelrundown, and WanderWisdom some of the ads are too large which causes articles to overlay the ad. I will add some screenshots so you can see what I'm talking about. I don't know why only my system would be having an issue. The only time I see the overlay is on the subcategory pages and the last ad right before the Related Article section. It doesn't happen on every article since I upgraded my operating system, but I am still seeing this issue.

Also this morning since updating my computer I can no longer see any ads on Owlcation. The only one I can see is the one at the bottom that says Around the Web, right before the Related Articles section. There are no ads on the subcategory pages (only large white squares), and nothing within the content of the articles. No large white spaces except in the right margin. Which I find odd. There is no indication that there should be ads in the body of the article on desktop. I'm also not seeing ads on Bellatory. The rest of the sites I looked at where showing ads just fine. However, if I try on my mobile device Owlcation and Bellatory are showing ads like normal.

We think we have found a fix for the overlaying ad issue. They should be fixed soon.

I barely see any revenue at all, as I'm still growing, but I understand the concern. It may be due to the search engines adjusting to the site(s) migration. Beyond that, we just have to be patient (as we CAN be, not that we should be).
