Hi everyone,
I've been using this tutorial to create my table of contents, but my links do not seem to work anymore on the articles that are on niche sites. Is there a newer way to do it?
Nope, there are no longer IDs associated with headings that you could link out to. TOCs are no longer a thing.
That's a bummer. I'll just remove the links and leave it as text then.
They moved to the new platform and it apparently does not create IDs for every capsule. IDs are not a necessity, they were just a thing that happened automatically with the old platofrm that we made use of.
If they allowed support for IDs in HTML edit mode in text capsules, we could add bookmark tags ourselves and then just jump to them using an "a" tag (there's support for this in HTML edit mode). Or maybe it's not that simple? Anytime I post a forum question about support for additional tags, it's met with silence.
It's possible, but how easy or difficult it depends on the system they use. A simple thing may end up being a lot of work if the need to explain it to everyone. Having it done automatically would be easier.

How do you create a functioning table of contents for your hubs?By that I mean a table of contents with clickable chapters (or sections) that'll scroll you to that point of the hub automatically... I've seen it done, most instructions on this say you need to have a link, but that means re-opening...

Is there an easy way to create a table of contents for a hub?I like the tables of contents on some of your hubs -- can you tell me how to do it?

I have come across a few hubs where there is a table of contents within a hub and when I click on any of the things within the table of contents I am taken to that specific section within that hub. I had no idea that option was even available when creating a new hub. At the very least I've not come...

I tend to create long-form content. A table of contents or a search function at the top of a hub would greatly benefit my users who may already know a bit about the subject and are looking for something new.

It appears that there are MANY hubbers who would like to see the ability to add a table of contents (TOC) to their longer hubs. There is currently an active discussion on the matter here: http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/113669However, the instructions are rather cumbersome, and for those of...
