I wrote an article that was published on Feltmagnet in October, but its whole title doesn't appear in SERPS.
Has anyone else experience of  this happening?
I copied it to Medium and added the canonical link and that guide appears in SERPS. There is only one other SERP result, apart from the Medium one, with the same title.

I've not experienced this, but then I don't do a great deal of searching for my own articles, so I probably wouldn't know.

There's likely a max length for titles appearing, but why it would vary depending on the publishing platform, I wouldn't know.

It does sound like a technical issue that it would take someone like Matt to answer.

The URL turns up in a search when I Google it, just not the title.

Edit: I searched today and it's appearing and the Medium version isn't. According to Seroundtable, Google had an issue indexing sites, but I think that was only for newly added content. This was published in October. Maybe Google finally just happened to index it overnight.

I just searched for a couple of my Owlcation physics and maths articles and they're not in the SERPS. They used to be on page 1. I wonder is Google deindexing some of the niche site content?

Edit: One of the articles starts with the words "Archimedes' Principle". If I leave the apostrophe out, it's not in the SERPS (although the Medium version is) If I put it in, it's listed (and the Medium article ranks higher)

Yes, supposedly "algorithm tremors" happening, as you said earlier. Difficult to draw any firm conclusions in that environment.

Current view levels for my accounts are super-low, even for a Saturday. It's kind of depressing.

Yes a long steady decline in traffic since September compared to last year for both Owlcation and Dengarden.

I feel like Owlcation has been crap for sometime, but it wasn't a great earner for me. Dengarden is a much bigger concern because a lot of my Amazon as well as ad revenue came via that niche. If there was one niche that I really want to do well, it's Dengarden. (I still suspect that Amazon is part of the problem) sad
