Jarring ad placement on HubPages

I know ads are necessary on hubpages to keep the site running, but is there any control over the ad placement? The way the ads are placed on my hub are extremely jarring and break up the continuity of the hub.

For one thing, do the ads need to be breaking up short sections? I have a short text section and rather than simply placing the ad before or after that section, the ad appears right in the middle of it, breaking up the text.

The second complaint is that ads are appearing in between a section and the illustration accompanying it. I wish there were a way on hubpages to directly attach an image to a text section, but that's not the way it works. The image section is a separate module that you can arrange to be adjacent to a text section, but you cannot attach it directly to the text. This means that when the ads appear, they appear in between the image and the text that the image illustrates.

I don't know why the ads can't simply appear above the image, and why they have to appear between the image and the section that the image illustrates. Is there any way to control this?

Sorry, authors have no control over the placement of ads in their articles.  HubPages is aware of our concerns, but instead of getting better, the problem has grown exponentially worse.

They claim that the number and placement of ads has been carefully researched and optimized, but all of us are seeing drops in traffic as the number of ads has increased.

There's been multiple forum discussion posts about this over the last year or two, since the new webpage layout format was introduced. Hubpages have acknowledged our concerns and told us they're addressing them, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Technically maybe it's just difficult to prevent ads splitting up capsules. If you use shift enter instead of just enter between paragraphs, it'll stop an ad splitting a text capsule. However I don't think ad placement between text capsules and photo capsules can be prevented.
