    Hello Beautiful Souls,

While checking Google Analytics report I discovered that I am getting traffic from Quora and Reddit from last few days. Both are social traffic sources. I never shared my articles there but receiving traffic from these sources on my recent articles and profile. Anyone experiencing something similar?

The referral sources are also interesting to examine. Here's the image:

I am curious to know about these social and referral sources. smile

    Thank you so much!

Interestingly, HubPages traffic sources page doesn't show me many of these sources (both the social and referrals including quora, Reddit, iframe-tokola, ev.turnitnuk, top.allresultsweb, etc. ) Any ideas?

The list of traffic sources on HubPages show me the following sources:

It could be that the HP stats is ignoring them because of low count of impressions.

Generally, depending on the nature of your articles, it could be that someone shared it over Quora and you received a trickle from there.

Overall, my observation is that HP stats are not really very accurate.

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful response, Ali. Yes, it's possible that someone shared it on Quora and Reddit. But what interests me is that I received profile views from there as well. It's not possible to get a profile view from there through articles as those articles are on the niche sites, and niches don't redirect the reader back to HubPages when visitors click the author's name. I want to know where they are exactly shared and who shared it, but sadly I can't find it using a Google search. hmm

You are correct about HP statistics; I, too, have noticed that HP statistical data, for whatever reason, are usually different than Google analytics. smile

I appreciate you for taking the time to respond to my query. Much gratitude!!

      Blessings to you!!
