Articles Moved to Niche Sites

Currently, how long are you finding it takes for a new article to be moved to a niche site? Usually mine are moved after two or three days, but it's a week now since I published a guide, so maybe I should enquire about it. I wish we could be sent a notification when an article isn't up to standard so we at least know. Google hasn't indexed the URL of the Discover version either.

It's two to three days for me also.  Try manually moving the hub to a niche site.  That will definitely generate an email if it doesn't qualify.

I have noticed this as well. One article has not been moved for the past 9 days, which is a bit odd, as usually it takes no more than 2-4 days max.

Usually, it's a few days. However, I had one towards the latter end of last year that took closer to three months!

They did answer promptly and apologized when I emailed after about a month or so had gone by. They said it would go to a niche but there would be further delay first, no explanation given, so I don't know the reason.

I've never encountered such a long delay before. Why that specific article was held up is a mystery. Others have taken the normal few days in recent times.

I would still give at least a few weeks before emailing, though.

That said, the frustrating thing is that you can't submit more material while there's an article stuck in the pipeline. Luckily, I can get around this as I have more than one account, so if one gets blocked up, I can use another. Multiple weeks or months of waiting for a decision is not good!

I submitted it to a niche site so let's see what happens. I haven't any other articles to submit so "using up" one of my submissions isn't a problem.

During the first half of last year, I was submitting a lot of articles/month to niches.

Then, when things started going badly with algo changes in summer, I focused nearly all my attention on Medium for a time.

Nowadays, I've shifted more attention back towards HP, while still keeping Medium ticking over

It looked like we got a benign algo change on Saturday, I'm hoping that the previous work will actually pay off.

Yes, my traffic is up quite a bit today compared to last Monday. Still not as good as last year, but at least the trend is upwards despite all the recent algo updates. The spring traffic should start to take off from now on.

Traffic is definitely creeping up. CPM's are as crap as ever, though, hopefully they'll improve in Feb. This month has been a nightmare as far as earnings go.

HI Eugbug, I try to move all my articles and it honestly has taken anything from 1 day to 2 weeks. I think it just depends on how busy the Hubpage staff are.

My experience has been a few days to a week after publishing. In rare cases it’s been a little longer.

Unfortunately there's no way of knowing whether an article is in the queue or it's been rejected, or do we get a notification? I think we only get a notification if we manually submit it to a site.

Hi eugbug. That's correct! If there's an article that you haven't submitted but would like to enquire about, you can send us an email at HubPages Editing. Please include a link to the article in question.

I don't see ads any more, encouraging companies to advertise on Hubpages.
