I'm trying right now to get my optimization going, but had finished doing it yet. creativeone59
Like I say:
SEO = Quality backlinks + Quality Original Content + K
Where, K ==> misc ranking factors.
Ultimate Hubber,
How do you feel about Quality 'Relevant' backlinks instead of just quality backlinks in your formula?
SEO tip #1 - Quality content, without this nothing else will product lasting results. The search engines are trying to give searchers what they are looking for, if the searcher thinks you are totally irrelevant they will not want to see you ranked for that term. When the search engines realize that sites are wrong for searchers they will attempt to fix the problem and you will be dropped. They do not want searchers unhappy and going to a different search engine. Why bother with traffic that will click the back button in the first 3 seconds anyway?
SEO tips beyond this are necessary for competition but if you have little to no competition this one tip is your biggest tool for dominating that niche. At least that is what I can see and have experienced
IMO, SEO factors are completely dependent upon the type and amount of competition for your target.
What is more or less 'required' for larger more competitive targets may be unnecessary for smaller less competitive ones.
Pick a target and study your competition. The factors they used or benefit from to rank high in the SERPs are the factors you can use to gain on and ultimately outrank them.
It's almost an open book blueprint

OK, I have tried to be conscientious about my hubs. I have read about linking, I have read all the "How to" things I can find, and I have made a couple back links (I know I need more of them). I make sure I proofread anything I write because I get very annoyed when people don't do that. I know I am still knew here and, perhaps, I take more time than others to post to my hubs. It just seems I should still be getting more "hits". So, I decided to post my frustration and you were the last name to post!
Thank you for that and I'd like a copy of that Blueprint if it isn't copyrighted! (LOL)
Seakay,
I don't think you have been here long enough. You can take a look at the time that has elapsed since I joined. This month, I'm finally beginning to feel more confident about the direction I need to take.
It will takes lots of experimentation to discover your best niches.
Also, whereas my new articles used to be indexed in about 5-7 days, now they seem to get into Google in less than 24 hours.
I can't help but feel, too, that it takes time to build up a reputation with your articles. I note from Google Analytics that people now aren't just stopping with one article from me. They go on to read other hubs that I've written.
Good luck. I'm off to read some of your work.
Visibility is the number one concern. The best SEO tip I can give is to figure out ways to economize your time. For instance, writing a hub is nice, but what about taking the hub and syndicating it a week later? If it is a long hub, what about turning it into a PDF, changing the title to focus on a different keyword and then placing it in directories such as scrib'd? What about forming a ring of relative hubs and placing it on Zimbio? If it is tips, how about turning it into a powerpoint presentation and finding sites to host it? What about taking that one hub, reworking it 5 times and then adding it to other web2.0 properties that rank like EZA, Squidoo, infobarrel, ect.?
What about writing a guest post and pointing the link to your hub, then using all the afforementioned tips, point links to the guest post to make for a more powerful link?
Most people are hindered because first they have to figure how to do things, then they have to figure out how to fit it all.
Anyway, just my thoughts.
Excellent analysis. Leverage your properties in every way possible within whatever time constraints you have.
Mike
I am trying to read up on the best ways to write and promote hubs, but I have to admit that I still feel somewhat in the dark ~ but it's early says yet, I suppose.

Hello Everyone, I’m primarily a writer, not a computer buff or web-site designer and in my other attempts at on-line writing I haven’t been trying to earn money, so I haven’t bothered about gaining traffic. I’m patient, I’ve read it takes a while to build up earnings, but from what...
