Can anyone explain this surge in almost totally organic traffic in 2019 that lasted for a couple of months? Possibly it was due to a featured snippet. Or maybe it was because of a high quality backlink that was later removed. Traffic has now dropped to about 70 views per day.
For me, your question falls into a similar category to someone asking: "Why won't my car start?"
There are a multitude of potential answers, as I'm sure you know. Listing them all would be tiresome. Speculatively offering one or more answers would essentially be meaningless. So it's kind of best not to answer.

On a different HP account, not this one, I experienced a major surge in organic traffic to one article, like a few thousand visits, for a few days. Then, the traffic dropped to essentially what it was before the surge, like a hundred visits, more or less. Keyword phrases that I knew it was ranking...

Whats the best way to get google traffic from niches like losing weight, fitness, and stuff about ebay and etc...I can easily get traffic with some niches, but others seem to be more difficult to get google traffic from. I am only getting traffic from hubpages from certain niches.I send about 5-10...

I noticed one of my articles, though it used to get a lot of organic traffic, now gets more "direct" traffic. Made me curious if organic traffic is necessary to stay featured.
