Just bringing this up again. When I load an article, there are huge spaces between blocks of text and I wouldn't have known know what they were, only for the fact that I wrote the article. Eventually after 30 seconds or more, ads and photos appear. Could a hairline outline with text at least be added around the placeholders indicating what's going to appear in the spaces so readers aren't confused. (So the text could be "advertisement" and "image") I don't understand why it takes ads so long to appear and the server must be extremely slow (My Internet connection isn't) Maybe it's just my phone that's the problem, does anyone else have this issue? Anyway I'm sure there are lots of people with slow phones that this occurs on.
I don't seem to experience this problem. Images and ads load fairly quickly on my phone.
My phone is 5 years old, so maybe that is "old" technology. I'm sure there are lots of people with similar vintage devices though. I don't have the problem on my notebook. The loading is slow on both the Firefox and Chrome browsers.
Although my phone is only a year old, I always see those big white spaces too. Right now, I am working on a 32" monitor and there are no white spaces at all. Just lots and lots of adverts.

HubPages' new policy of spreading out the pictures and rearranging hubs has made an absolute mess of so many of my pieces. It will take a lot of editing and re-writing and formatting for a large number of my articles because they are in need of photos that are placed NEXT to the text, not on...

We recently rolled out a change that makes viewing hubs using a mobile browser a better experience. Basically, we've removed the sidebar and stripped away anything that wasn't essential. We've tested it on the iphone and some versions of android and it works pretty well. However,...

Just checked it on Alexa.com, and realized which (alleged) effect the Panda updates of Google has on traffic. Although I'm still happy with the traffic my Hubs have, are the foundations increasingly eroding. Are there any ideas to change this trend? http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/hubpages.com

I just realized that people are using full width images in their hubs again, even at the beginning. The team used to tell us NOT to do that because at the top of the article a photo makes a post take to long to load and also takes up space that should be given to advertisers and in the middle...

I get a very small amount of views from desktop users. This somewhat surprised me. Is this true for everybody?

In looking over my edited hubs, I find many inconsistencies. Some hubs will be changed so that all large photos are seen (for mobile viewers?), others will be changed into thumbnails, others not changed at all. Some photos are moved above the text capsule, others below. What does HP now consider to...
