Given that it seems set to eclipse Twitter, I figured that it was a good idea to join. Publicizing articles via social media can be a mixed bag but it's generally a quick and easy thing to do and does sometimes bring extra views.

You need an Instagram account before you can join Threads. I ended up setting up new accounts from scratch. I have 2,000 followers at Twitter but I've only got 10 at Threads so far(!)

Anyway, I'm there as paul_goodman_writes if you're interested...

Just saw a post on Facebook. It exclaimed Threads had gained 100 million users in less than five days making it the fastest growing online platform in history. Does that speak to potential? Maybe not for content articles, yet it is a new source if one seeks a social media strategy.

I never Twittered so I don't see much point in Threading, either...

I joined threads the day it was launched and I really like the flow of it. It has a much more professional look than twitter and the vibe is just so much better.

But I too have like 10 followers. You can find me @melflaggcoa

It's not available in Europe yet AFAIK. I've never found Twitter any use for getting views, no matter how hard I tried. I guess it depends on the nature of what one writes about though.

Yes, Threads is currently blocked in EU countries while they look at the privacy and data protection issues.

I find that social media generally does little for me most of the time but if all it takes to post is a quick click then it's worth a go.

I'm keen to explore the possibilities of Threads as it's new.

      Thanks for the Instagram follow!
