    Hey fellow PetHelpful authors,

As we prepare to make the big move to Discover HubPages at the end of the month, I wanted to reach out and give a shout-out to all of you amazing writers!

I have to admit, I'm nervous about a substantial drop in traffic and rankings. It's a big change, and it may take months for Google to recognize Discover as an authority on pet articles (like PetHelpful is). But here's the silver lining: we can use this time to support each other and work on building interlinking opportunities to boost our traffic.

By supporting each other with interlinks, shares, and engagement, we can set ourselves up for the smoothest transition and maintain our readership. Together, we could turn this challenge into an opportunity for growth and success.

I’ve just created a private Facebook group, ("Pet Authors on HubPages") for those of you interested in joining, where we can:

    1) Post our pet articles that have moved (or will be moving) to Discover HubPages.
    2) Invite each other to interlink relevant articles to boost SEO, visibility and traffic of Discover.
    3) Share each other's content on social media platforms to reach a wider audience.
    4) Ask for and provide constructive feedback and suggestions to improve our articles.

*If interested, please search for the group on FB and request to join it. Kindly keep this thread positive and only join the conversation if you are interested in helping your pet articles survive and thrive on Discover, thank you!*

Louise, This is a proactive idea; at least you're doing something about the situation.

I only have one article on Pethelpful, which did well in the short term. I don't consider myself worthy of your FB group. However, keep us posted on how the program goes.

Given that it seems Pethelpful was a more successful site (but is gone), maybe we could get together and make our own pet site somehow. Or even just move en masse to an alternative.

It would certainly be do-able, Penny! There are plugins on Wordpress that support multiple authors and have revenue sharing options and automatic interlinking. And it would be relatively straightforward to copy/paste content over to a new site. The mammoth task would be the legal aspects of having multiple authors, and building up a domain authority similar to Pethelpful (65, I believe), as we would have to promote it and build backlinks from scratch. The irony is that Discover has a domain authority of 95, (which is what TAG wants to capitalize on) but isn’t (yet) an authority in the pet niche, according to Google. Hence, traffic and rankings will drop until Google changes its mind on that (if it ever does). My idea is to promote the heck out of our pet articles on Discover and interlink as much as possible, to give them a chance. But if we don’t see results after a few months, I will for sure be building a new pet site smile
