I stopped being active about the time Maven took over HubPages. Before that I had been writing for HubPages and Squidoo. Even got a little promotion to Canadian Editor... shortly before Squidoo shut down. I like the idea of HubPages, a community of people writing about assorted topics. I was a writer and editor for Suite101 and others, all gone by 2010 or so.
Anyway, last time I was here it was Maven hardly paying anyone. Now TAG. I was curious about how HubPages has been moved around.
Maven became TAG shortly after the asteroid hit the Earth and the dinosaurs were wiped out. Payment rates were still higher though.
PS - Did you know there was a community of writers and editors who tried to keep About.com going as a writing network? I'm not sure if they are still around. I'd have to dig up the link. Maybe someone else knows it?

Do the porn and trash links appear on my Owlcation educational articles?I know the issue has been highlighted elsewhere, but this specific question concerns me.I don't want to support that sort of thing in any case and I'm sure I'm not alone here in realizing that if that's the future of Hubpages,...

Well I hope not of course, but when I started writing on Hubpages years ago there were a lot of writers and a lot of encouragement. These days I know Matt pops in now and again but otherwise it's a bit of a closed door and CPM for the last few weeks at approximately $1.50 seems to be about half of...

It would seem in my brief absence that the Maven bar has become more invasive than it once was; it pops up uncontrollably and incessantly as I scroll and I can't seem to figure out a way to get rid of it.Anyone have any ideas for how to keep it from popping up randomly, over and over?
