The Hubnuggets program is a great idea.
When I got hubnuggets nominated for the first time, I didn't know if it was an insult or a compliment.
Apparently it was a nomination, which I was relieved about (and thankful for.)
Think about it this way.
"Hubnugget of the week"
"Featured Writer of the Week"
Which sounds better?
"Hubnugget" makes you sound like a NOOB if you ask me.
(And maybe the hubnugget nominees ARE noobs, but still...)
Good articles deserve good titles.
I, personally, like the title "Hubnugget" and would be proud to be one. It's like a little piece of HubPages gold. And doesn't sound as collegiate and stuffy as the other.
ETA: Proud to be a NOOB
ETA: Although...I think I might be ineligible now. Oh well...I would have been proud. LOL
I love the HubNuggets program and the name. When the list comes out, I always go read them, rank them up, and vote. If I have time I try to comment.
To me it's a lot more fun than Featured Writer of the Week. I look forward to it.
Yes GlassSpider a little piece of Hub Gold.
HubNuggets is so much a part of HubPages. I think changing it would be a mistake.
Okay, I'll speak up and say I don't really care for the term "hubnuggets" either. Maybe it's a noob thing, since I am also one.
There would be no reason to change it. The Writer are featured regardless, by HubScores and traffic.
When you use the Topics feed, and you click on any section, it will show you featured articles.
If the contest was called "writer of the week" or something similar, it would make the older hubs that have won seem dated. IMO
HubNuggets are eternal
Last week's "writer of the week" is last week's news, at least in my mind...
I like HubNuggets.
*And kudos to the HubNugget team for their work*
I think hub-nugget is a cute little name reminds me of a KFC delight
