IF HUBPAGES IS TO TRULY BE A MICRO-COSMIC REPRESENTATION OF DEMOCRACY WE LIVE IN; WITH AL ITS ATTENDANT 1ST AMENDMENT RIGHTS AND ATTITUDES TOWARDS FAIRNESS.

ALLOW HUB-PAGES,MEMBERS TO NOMINATE AND VOTE FOR THEIR CHOICES FOR THESE POSITIONS.

THIS I WOULD SEEM PREFERABLE TO THEM BEING PICKED BY WHAT EVER METHOD IS CURRENTLY BEING USED.

    ALL IN FAVOR SAY I.

but-- it isn't that. Who said it was? And did you mean oversight? HubPages is not a country or a government.

(And if you are comparing it to the US, we are a republic with representatives, not a democracy.)

Sadly, I don't think the site even claims to be democratic, nor democratically-fair, and for sure not republic.....
So you may be proposing an impossibility.
Besides, majority "rule" is not always "right" nor fair.

But I respect the fact that you have the guts to pose this idea.
I could tell ya first-hand some stuff about how First Amendment rights are either upheld and/or not upheld here, but what would the results be at this time?
