HP Staff - Disabled Ads and Deceptive Hubs?

Four days have passed since I e-mailed you and still no reply.

Since the mass disabling of ads I've had at least one hub that has had the ads disabled, re-instated, disabled again, re-instated again, and finally today disabled again.  Does anybody there know what's going on?  Because I certainly don't.  And if you do, you're not sharing.

And that's in addition to the hub that has been unpublished for being 'deceptive' which I still don't understand and have had no response regarding this.

Answering these questions may not be important to you, but these questions are important to me.

    Please respond.

      Hi MrVoodoo,

As you can imagine, we've been getting a lot of emails regarding the new ad filter.  I apologize that yours escaped my notice.  I just replied via email regarding the question about being moderated as deceptive.

As far as the ads, I will clear the hub to display ads at the same time I republish it.

        Thank you very much, Maddie.

        I appreciate it.

I didn't place it within the health category because it originally offered nothing in the way of serious medical advice.  But you're welcome to place it in whatever category you find appropriate.

        Thanks for your help.

    Hello HP

I am experiencing the same issue.  You deleted my Hub "Must we Pose Naked" without warning which had been on site for a year with 129 comments. I have re-written it and changed photos:

    http://hubpages.com/t/15a9fe

Also: http://hubpages.com/hub/Naked-Women-wit … n-the-Oven  which you actually featured on Homepage now has issues. I edited all photos and emailed you.

    Still awaiting response....

I hardly log in these days because of this upsetting issue.

    Elena

      Hey Lady_E

I've bumped this in the hope that you get a response, because despite my issue being semi-sorted now HP totally f**** me over on this one.
Best wishes to you, but I don't expect great results for you.  I'm still well out of pocket on this one.

      Fingers crossed.

But don't expect miracles, it's clear that some things are more important than you or I.

It's because HP cares about you and I and everyone else (yes, including themselves) that they started this filter system.  Can you imagine having to sort through something this massive with the small staff they have?  Give them a break.  Had Google done this instead of HP we all wouldn't have Adsense accounts anymore.  They did it in hopes of catching things before Google did.  We should appreciate what they've done instead of griping about it.  For the few days ads were disabled or hubs unpublished, it's doubtful that you lost tons of revenue.  So, how has it really hurt you?  I recommend exercising a bit more patience.

No disrespect KCC, but that's exactly the sort of response I would expect from you.

My hub was not 'deceptive', not by a long shot.  And I merely bumped this thread to help Lady_E.  And whilst you may be doubtful about lost revenue you are clearly merely speculating.

      Best wishes.

Well, there are a couple of solutions:
      1) hire more staff
      2) move to AdBrite, or Project Wonderful, or something else. AdSense isn't the only ads network, and it's certainly not the ruler of the world, and I even guess it's not the best one around. I guess YieldBuild can work also with other ads networks. smile

Anyway there is a good news about the filter, desi aunties hubs have gone from over 700 to 642. Great job. sad

I'm sure your hub was not deceptive.  Nor were any of mine that the filter caught.  But, just like the rest of us, I took a closer look at my hubs, tried to see it through the eyes of a filter and contacted HP.  They didn't answer my email right away, but I realized I'm one of thousands emailing them.  They eventually fixed it and all is well.

I know you bumped the thread to help Lady E get hers resolved.  I really wasn't just responding to your bump.  I was commenting on the thread in general.

Of course I'm speculating on the potential lost revenue, but whatever amount it is, I can guarantee it's far less than the loss of revenue you'd experience if you lost your entire Adsense account.

I think you are being a bit too rough on HP in my opinion.

Well, as you've said, that is your opinion.  And whilst I can't speak for Lady_E I am very careful about such matters.  And my Adsense account was never at risk.

I have lost revenue, but I'm willing to accept that because all-in- all I love HP, but don't downplay the seriousness of these issues.  We wouldn't be starting or joining threads about such things unless
      we considered it important.

If you're satisfied then move on.  And leave threads such as this one for the HP staff.

      Best wishes.

I understand that you started the thread because you were frustrated that HP hadn't answered your emails.  However, the threads are for the community and I'm entitled to participate in any thread I wish, including this one.  However, I shall move along.  Good luck to you and Lady E.

You are of course entitled to respond in the same manner that I am entitled to respond to your posts.

My own issues have been dealt with, and as you stated above I bumped this thread in the hope of achieving the same for Lady_E.

Sometimes it's good to ask questions rather than follow in blind faith.

      Best wishes.

Please help me understand why ads do not appear in one of my newest hubs: <snipped link>
I wouldn't mind changing the text and photographs if there lies a problem...
It needs to be noted that ads have not been disabled, since I would be able to see the crossed out dollar sign as I do not see any such sign on this hub. There simply isn't any ads, though there is a blank space where ads should be and I see a social ad from google.
Please help me fix this problem.

It looks like Google disabled ads on this hub themselves.  It's probably the half-nude photos.

I deleted some of my photographs...Is there any way to get Google to post ads?
Does the mention of "Playboy magazine" have any effect?

I'm experiencing the same problem. The crossed dollar sign shows up, then off, then on again. This has been going on for the past few days.

Rectified a couple as best as i can, but no luck yet. And i see no point in emailing HP staff, as it seems many dont get the much needed response fast enough. Understandably, but still...|:

I deleted my hub that weren't showing ads and re-published it under a different name and did not upload any of the photographs that were in any way inappropriate and did not use the word 'nude' or 'playboy'... yet the ads do not appear?
    Now I am totally lost!!

If your AdSense Ads are not showing up, try going to your AdSense Google account, in the blue line, click on "Account Access", and for Hub Pages account, under the word "actions" it should say "Grant Access" if it doesn't, click on it.  It should change to "Grant Access"  then check your Hub Pages and see if you have Google ads.

Oh ya, your Google AdSense account has to be up to date and info verified.  So you may have to enter a "PIN"# that they sent your or do a phone verification to be able to do this...
