Hi there - new Hubber here. Why does the Hubscore drop within hours of publishing it? I literally just posted a hub a few hours ago and it's already down to 49. What's the deal with that?
Within the first couple of days or so it will bounce up and down, after that it will tend to settle within the range that it is meant to, some of us simply hold off publishing hubs until they have risen to 60+ or so
And they will bounce up and down anyway no matter what you do to them, I think this is so that people cannot simply throw up a lot of crap and then leech link juice from their hubs
(Just my personal opinion)
It makes total sense, so thanks. I am finding that I really like making HubPages! It's crystal clear to me that what people want is different, interesting hubs on various subjects and what I like most is that the community doesn't appear to be closed off.
Anyway, thanks for your reply!
I have now decided to pay absolutley no attention to hubscore and Karma whatsoever - i am only interested in traffic!

Without making any additions, changes, or comments, my hubscore seems to randomly fluctuate between 89 and 93. Today I hit a new low, 87. Can someone please explain this system to me? I would love the option of turning the display off so it doesn't irritate me every time I log in.

Yesterday hubscore was 77. I published one new hub with score 58 and no outgoing links and I did not place any monotizing adwords or amazon or ebay on it. Now today hubscore is 73?

My Hubscore drops after I edit a Hub. Is anyone else experiencing this situation? There have been times in which the score has gone up to reflect the editing process. I'm not sure if this is normal.
