Flannery O'Connor ---- (Are we trying to link them in any way - first letter to last one of the previous post, e.g.?)
Not that I'm of any importance, but I say...
Every third posting (because I'm third right now) can tie the previous two together... fictitiously.
My cousin's cousin's friend's sister, Jane is Washington Irving's neighbor's great-grandson's friend's wife - and they live across the street from Flannery O'Connor's great-neice's ex-dog's house.
Woohoo... I'm third again...
S. John Thompson requested that Leonard Stein write a new, terrific American Novel, As the HubWorld Beckons.
O' Connor is from GA!! Yay!
Another GA author: James Dickey (Deliverance)
Southern Gothic, hooray! Okay, for something a bit more lighthearted, how about a Mississippi writer? No, not Faulkner, someone else can have him. [Lighthearted???] The one and only....
John Grisham. Woohooooo!
EDIT: Sorry, Rafini - I missed seeing Mark Twain, whom I love. I didn't mean to imply that he's Southern Gothic. sorry about that.
