A backlink is just a fancy name for copying the web address of any page on the internet and posting is as a hyperlink on another site.
A backlink is when you make a comment, say on someone else's blog, and you put your url in the comment section. That then becomes a backlink.
There are all forms of making a backlink, such as profiles on forums, your very own profile page here on hubpages is a perfect example.
The way you make a good back link is something with your keyword as the anchor text. You do anchor text in your capsules when you press the ~ button to make a web link.
Clear as mud I know, but once you get your head around it, the terminologies and the techniques, it will come easy for you and simple to understand.

Hello I am trying to create hyperlinks in my blog posts. I've looked at HTML tutorials but it doesn't seem to work here. I've only every used Wordpress in the past. Wordpress makes it easy to make hyperlinks but I don't think Hubpages has a tool for it.Please help thanks!
