I think today was the third time a particular hubber commented by pasting in a bunch of keywords from my post and adding something meaningless like "Nice job" along with his off HP web site address.
I left the comment there as a warning to others but warned him that I see what he is up to and that I will be deleting any future spamming like that.
I'm sure he is doing the same thing to other people. When I first saw it, I just thought it was odd, but after repetition it's plain that he's just comment spamming.
I wish there were a way to "flag" that kind of thing.
Maybe you can tell him how stupid, silly and ridiculous he is. Maybe this will drive him off.
Aww, I can tell you are a fan
If you have a problem with something I have said elsewhere, take it up with me there or try reporting it to the admins.
I don't resort to telling the admins like you. If I have a problem I'll take it up with you anywhere.
I have never reported anyone to the admins. I have had to warn a few people that I would if they persist with their name-calling, but I have not actually done it as yet.
I understand that you don't like my opinions on certain subjects. That's life.
Now, as I said, if you have a problem with some specific thing I said, take it up with me where I said it, not here.
You threatened people you'd tell on them. What subjects are you speaking of, religion? You want me to say something religious so you can get others involved?
You gonna use that big o brain a yours to insult lil ole me?
I don't tell on anyone, I've always had a problem with authority figures.
As I said, I haven't either. But certain folks get a little carried away and warning them of that possibility seems to calm them down.
I don't believe you. If you've threatened it you've probably done it...otherwise why threaten.
Watch out, he's pretty tight with the alien from Alien.
Look what it did to his hair.
No, I TOOK that from an alien I trapped in my self designed Alien Trapping Triangle.
Don't you remember? I caught him right after he popped out of your shower and made your hair stand up like that.

Hey, the rain and wind just started. Earl is coming in Earnest!
Really? Just got windy here too. We aren't supposed to see much from Earl tho, Im North and more inland. I was going to say where the spam button is but I see that sunforged beat me to it.
Good luck with the hurricane and all!
thats what the "spam" button does .. enough hubbers mark comments from one ip as spam then the future comments get automatically put in moderation
btw, congrats, you have arrived, lol
i think the deny is the one that makes for spam, if enough people hit the deny then that person's writing is automatically marked as spam... So liberal use of deny button on spam like comments should do it.

What Would Happen if you didn't Approve a comment?Under new comments there is 2 buttons... APPROVE and SPAMBut what happens if you press neither? If nothing, then is the approve button really neccasary? or should it just be a default until you hit Spam?

Which comments do you deny on your hubs?
by L Izett 14 years ago
Do you accept or deny comments that leave a link to someone's website?I don't mind people leaving a link to one of their hubs but I don't know about people leaving a link to their own website.

How often do you Deny comments from another HP member? If you do deny them is it because of profanity/insults, you don't like what they say because it goes against your hub, you are suppressing commentary, or another reason.

Just in the past 10 minutes or so I've already gotten 3 spam comments, all on the same hub! And whenever I delete one, it seems another immediately comes up!I'm sure that when I wake up tomorrow (it's almost 1 in the morning now) I'll have many more to delete. Ugh, is there a way to stop these spam...

have you experience this, an unverified person, meaning not a member of hubpages visited your hub and criticize your hub and photos... how are you going to react? I clicked the deny option coz it does not look good to me. Do you think I will need to adjust because being here in hubpages I am prone...
