mentor is an individual, usually older, always more experienced, who helps and guides another individual’s development. This guidance is not done for personal gain.
There are no official mentors as far as I know. There are plenty of hubs that might help - check out those by darside as regards using the software.
I mentor people with the goal of making money here - but not for free. I assume your goals are to make money, judging from some or the hubs you have written so far. Drop me a line if you are interested - but I do not come cheap.
I recommend not taking mentoring or advice from anyone who does not demonstrably make money here. There are an awful lot of people writing about it who do not make any money.
For the record, I never charge for mentoring. I never offer advice on making money on HubPages. I would decline mentoring a person seeking guidance on how to make money here.
I was not referring to you. I was referring to all the people who turn up here and write "how to make money with hubpages" hubs five minutes later. I was also assuming the OP's goal is to make money. But I could be wrong - that is the only area I offer mentoring in and I charge for it.
Fine, I'll gladly send anyone seeking such advice your way!
Basically, anything on how to get an account up and running, to make a professional appearance and profile. First and foremost, how to be a better writer. However, this does not touch upon issues such as keywords, tags, or the like. Basic technical, presentation, and writing skills.
Ah - thanks. I will send any inquiries your way. I get asked those sort of questions also, but I am only seeking paying clients.
I appreciate that. Seems we've got it pretty much covered then.
Nope, you don't have it covered yet. You forgot that I offer advice on how to NOT make money, and have written extensively on that.
Sorry Shadesbreath, I'll grant you exclusive rights on that one. Anyone seeking such advice will be sent to you, and I won't be using any URL trackers either. All in the spirit of futility!
Sorry to hear that. Such personal difficulties are not covered under free collaboration or mentoring, either.
I'm making them so, best you get on my level cause trust me I am so eager to mentor you mt friend
but really big fee lasts a long time.
this offer expires in 3 seconds, that's the time you need tight
dude, pee/ again!
I'm wondering what you might have to teach someone like me...
Thank you for the direct answer. I was looking for someone to help lead through the hubpage process. Connecting other sites and etc. Not necessary making money. I will continue reading on my own and figure it all out. Thanks again!
I do offer free collaboration, which could include mentoring, as explained in my recent hub. There are others who may be willing to take on a mentoring role upon request. What person would be most suited depends on your needs and interests.
I am still waiting for your bank account details and personal logins.
Then I can send you the $3 I owe you for not threatening to convert me any more.
honey.. boil some water and get out that old tub.. we are drivin to France for some old fashioned baptizin!
Sorry - I will be unavailable for the next two weeks. Get this - I am going to a Catholic Christening near Monte Cassino, followed by a tour of the private areas of the Vatican. I told them not to blame me if we get struck by lightning.
Then I am going to the town my Grandfather emigrated from in 1902 in the mountains East of Salerno. He and his brother left home at 16 yo and started walking north. They ended up in England. Times was tough then.
OK, this not only proves that God exists, but it also proves he has a much better sense of humor than most people give Him credit for
I am more of the opinion that it proves I have a sense of humor. If we come back without having been struck by lightening that is.
*snicker* In any case, it's quite ironic and I am both envious and glad for you, that sounds like it will be quite interesting.
I am looking forward to it. I have been through the public areas, and - although my Granddad was verger for some of the big London churches and I am familiar with much of their treasures - going backstage to the Vatican's private apartments should be an eye opener and make the CoE look like a pauper.
Just like the carpenter's son would have wanted.
right there, in the inner sanctum of the Holy Sea, Mark Knowles will return to his roots and once again turn to religion... like a new born holy lamb sucking on the teet of holy knowledge..
then her will come back hear and drive us crazy with Hubs on the importance of being born again...
and i STILL won't get my $4!
I mentor people for free in the Austin area for a single session provided they use my referral links, I then also keep teaching people at $25 an hour, I always need more clients though

I would like to see some form of mentor system here on hubpage's. Where inexperienced writers such as myself could post a request for a mentor and those with an interest in helping people and better skills could advertise there willingness to help.It would help the new user such as...

One thing I wished I had when I first started on Hubpages was a mentor - someone I could turn to and ask all those 'silly' questions that new users on HP ask, someone I could seek objective advice from and someone who would be able to help me focus on my writing, and give me tips on how to be...

When I first came here from Squidoo I was so wishing there was a “someone” I could communicate with who would answer my questions, or tell me where I could get the information I needed. I did use the forums and received answers that helped me, but it would have been so nice to have...

Can it be done, at least on a Hubber to Hubber level?Would those at the top be willing to help someone whose Hubscore is, say, in the sixties or seventies if they genuinely wanted to implement tips, tricks (ha) or advice?I'm thinking about opening up my Hub-knowledge, albeit less than some others...

I've been inspired by Wrylit and her offer to help any hubber improve their hubs.I'd like to offer to be a mentor to a hubber with less than ten hubs. Here's what I would do:-Review one hub (of your choice) a week and give detailed feedback on improvements that I feel you can make to get more...

I know there are a lot of great hubs out there which deserve shares. Social media is NOT a good way to get longterm traffic, but sometimes it can give you a nice little boost while you wait for Google to realise you're alive. So I'm going to offer to post ONE hubber's hub on all my personal social...
