Thanks for the insight that I shouldn't worry about hub scores going to 49 if they are new.
I just joined, was writing eagerly (4th hub already) but stopped at seeing the 49 score.
Now I can continue without worry!
I too published my new hub just now and got a score of 50! I don't know but is that a right score?? haha don't you worry as long as your hub is informative, interesting and cool it's fine
well my hubs start with 50 when i post them and they drop to 49..then go to 52 on second day and slowly crawl to 70+ ..i dont pay much attention to scores..they eventually get settled...
I am new at Hubpages. What works for me, is just writing and not keeping up with scores. The scores tend to go up and down when you initialy post. They soon settle down. Write aricles you are proud of and your score will rise! Good luck...
Having been here months and driven crazy by the scores, try to ignore the score day to day - glance at it week to week works much better for me.
Posting a new Hub always lowers my score and I feel horrible so I have learned it will change momentarily. The main thing is to keep building, set a strong foundation and link and build external links. Have a plan in place and follow it diligently. Hard work will pay off here on Hub Pages.

I woke up this morning & my newly published hub has a score of 71. Really??? Please help! I don't know what more I can do.I've spent about 4 years (on & off) both researching & "interviewing" my patients in preparation for this article. Then I spent...

Who thinks we should ask to reinstate a page dedicated to locating hubbers by hubber score. Beginning with 100-0.We once had such a page here that made the hubber score much more relevant, and we could at least get a chance to locate the top hubbers who most definitely deserved high praise for...

I took a hiatus for awhile from Hub Pages! However, in the past week or so, I have added new hubs participated in forums, asked a question or two, participated with the Hub Hopper, have read some Hubs, yet my Hubber Score is lower than it was when I was doing nothing. I don't get it!

Has the fun gone out of HubPages? The new scoring system with HubPages has dropped me like a bad habit. No matter what I do now my score doesn't go up. Quite frankly, after being here for over 5 years I am disgusted. Please don't tell me scores don't matter because they do. It is as though I have...

Hi,I've spent a bit of time creating this hub:http://hubpages.com/hub/Build_a_free_websiteand not much time on this hub:http://hubpages.com/hub/How_to_make_a_free_websiteHowever the top one has a lower hub score than the bottom one, even though it is full of (what I believe to be) good content,...

Just had a big drop on my profile score. And all my hubs were featured along with a steady 10 Editors Choice. I say 'were' because 3 were just unfeatured and I don't know what to do about that. My views are over 945,000. Boo-hoo. Hubpages doesn't love me anymore!
