Don't like it?! You write to hubpages team to request to delete your account.

Why are you want to close it? Is it doing any harm to you? Instead leave it and later if you want come here again.

if you don't like hubpages simply don't use it and forget its user id and password

Not good advice. The orderly way is to close the account. The OP is responsible for the account until it is closed.

You've been here 49 minutes.....how do you know you don't like it?

This is directly from the "Help" section about closing or deleting your account:

If you would like to close your HubPages account please sign in to the account that you'd like to close and send us an email request with the subject "close my account" and the username of the account you'd like to close in the body of your message (for verification). Note that:

•Account closure is permanent and unrecoverable
•The username of a closed account will not be made available again
•If you are in the process of applying for Google AdSense through HubPages, we recommend completing that process before closing your account. If you close your account, your application is unlikely to be approved and it may significantly complicate a future application.
If you would like to close a different account, something other than HubPages, you've come to the wrong place. We are not affiliated with any other Website or company and we can not help you.

Your question has been answered above.

I'd just like to say - why exactly did you join?

You haven't written a single hub and that's the main goal of hubpages.

A hub is a high quality article which draws traffic and earns you money.

Ideally speaking, maybe. In reality, many hubs are of mediocre quality, draw little traffic, and generate no income whatsoever.

True but the OP has yet to even create a hub, or so it appears.

And I'd take it from the OP's hubtivity that they haven't interacted much with any other parts of the site.
