On this day, November 11, 2010, I’d like to offer just a small phrase for all of those that have sacrificed and dedicated their lives to the freedom and liberty of others.
You should know that your service crawling through muddy jungle floors, climbing atop frozen mountain tops, entrenched in deep forests and across vast arid deserts is appreciated by a great many of those whose lives and liberty you protect each and every day.
This country and our world for that matter, would not have survived, had it not been for your fortitude, valor and commitment.
I am reminded of a another phrase I read a long time ago,
Only two people have ever given their lives for others.
One died for your soul,
The other for your liberty.
The first it is believed to be Jesus Christ,
The second is proven, as the American Soldier
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR DEDICATION
How beautiful...I'm so surprised that other Hubbers are not saying more patriotic things today..I too wrote a hub about Veterans Day. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
