Before you can delete it, the hub must be published. Then open it, click on the delete icon on top of the hub. It will vanish from the servers in approximately 24 hours.
You do not need to publish it. Simply visit the page (in normal view mode, NOT in edit mode) and at the top of the hub it will say "delete" in the black bar.
Good to know, not that I need to do this yet but extra knowledge is always useful. Thanks WE and WL. Can I call you both that?
At least WL has a semblance of my name! Usually I get wrylitt, wrylit and wrylift lol
I stand corrected, thanks. I never tried to delete an unpublished hub, so hadn't noticed that option on the interface.
I am surprised, I thought you knew it all! :-) For me you do, as I have learned so much in these 3 weeks at HP.
A good idea would be to work on your idea in word or some other format and when you are sure about going ahead with it, you can transfer the content to a new Hub you create. Publishing and deleting content affects your hub score, if it matters to you. This works well for many of us here!
I noticed there is a hub heading on my profile with no content i did not write this. is this some one else using my account??????I deleted this title but am concerned . as i enjoy writing material but not responsible for others.
With all due respect, you are new to this, and may have hit a few buttons other than what was intended. It is highly unlikely that your account has been hacked or otherwise compromised. Sometimes, peculiar coincidences do occur. If you are concerned, you can change your account password by editing your profile.
THANK YOU FOR THE RESPONSE, I t seems very strange that two topics were listed with out any material, but in reference to what I had all ready written and posted. I'll look into this. I am a mature Lady with a lot of experience with Life, and have been a advocate for many. IN THE MEAN TIME THIS IS SO MUCH fun for me and I DO APPRECIATE ALL THE HELP others will suggest. I am almost 78yrs. this 21st. of Dec. and very young in spirit and love Life.I may not know all this new mumbo.jumbo talk and HIP HOP now but there is a lot to be said for the late forties and so on and wow what a time it was for me......

How often do you Deny comments from another HP member? If you do deny them is it because of profanity/insults, you don't like what they say because it goes against your hub, you are suppressing commentary, or another reason.

It has been awhile since I had written a hub so, I accidentally hit a wrong button and exited out of the hub I was creating. I thought it was exiting me out of the box I was working on so I could continue. Instead it exited me out of the entire hub. So, my question is how do I delete the unfinished...

It is advantageous to delete one's own low scoring hubs that have little traffic. I figure getting rid of the low score would increase the average of the rest of one's hubs. What do you think?
