I was wondering, when we reply to a comment on our hub that another Hubber posted, is there a way they would know you replied to their comment or do they have to go back to the hub to see if you replied or not?
On the customizable home page you can have a widget that displays comments on all hubs that you commented on. So if I comment on your hub then I can see there when you have replied.
Hello simeonvisser. Thanks for the info on my question, but I am not familiar with that. do you mean when you first start a new hub and you choose your lay out?
I mean the page that you get when you go to http://hubpages.com/ when you are logged in. You can set it to customizable home page (using the setting at the top right) and then add a Hubtivity widget for tracking all your comments. Perhaps I should write a hub about it someday
Good Mornning and thank you for this information. I beleive I got it now. I'll work on it after I'm through working at my job Have a great weekend
guess he didn't use that customizable homepage he's saying...
cause he didn't notice that you've got a follow up question.. I wish he get back here so he could answer that one...hihi I'd like to have notifications if someone replied to my comments and post too..
Maybe HP will come up with something. But for all we know it may exist now. We will find out one way or another right?
Hope you have a great weekend!!! I have to work
yeah!..guess we'll have to browse a little more..hihi
Thank you!!
ok! good luck! hope you finished a lot of work today!
I'll get back on you when I find that customizable page...
I do, I was simply doing other things But I don't use the customizable home page to keep track of forum activity (although you could, if you wanted). I simply check the forums manually from time to time for threads in which I was involved and new interesting threads.
I use the customizable home page to keep track of all hubs on which I commented and new comments that are being posted there. That's a useful to have because I can keep track of all discussions in which I was involved.

What are the potentially cons of not using a comment box?I'm tired of answering the same questions over and over again. I'm tired of getting rude comments. I'm tired of dealing with it basically. I want to help people, but answering the same question over and over again or having to defend myself...

When I post a comment to someone's hub including a question and they approve it, but do not answer the question, does that mean they have no manners? In your opinion.

Is there a way to keep up with comments people made in reply to your comment on their hub? I dont wana just leave a comment for the sake of leaving one, im interested to see if the person replied again. Sometimes anyway lol. So is there any way to keep up with that without having to go back to the...

Question about links left in commentsSometimes I have people that leave really nice comments that pertain to my hub but at the end of the comment they will end it like this: come visit us @ link.If I approve the comment because they actually commented on my hub does the link hurt my hub score or...

First, I want to say I think hubpages has made a lot of positive improvements to the comments features and has allowed hubbers to manage comments more easily now that we can approve and reply to all comments from our accounts page. The one change to this feature I would like to see is ensuring our...

Let me start by saying I'm a true Southerner, and most of us from old Southern families worship the etiquette deity. Have you heard the joke that explains why Southern women don't participate in group sex? Too many thank-you notes to write.I'm saying this so you'll hopefully understand where I'm...
