I have a quick question about backlinks (I struggle with patience but I'm stubborn so it evens out): How long does it take backlinks to start doing their work? I haven't been here long, so I don't expect to see results yet, but so far I've used Redgage, SheToldMe, Snipsly, forum boards, and blogs to post my links. I don't have enough articles in any categories yet to use Ezines or Bukisa, but eventually I will start on those. I've also been interlinking my Suite101, Hub, and AC articles.
Is that a good start, or should I be doing more? (I've also been using some of the free SEO analytic tools online.)
Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.

I know this is a stupid question, but since are urls have changed with the subdomain change, does that mean all of our previous backlinking efforts are worthless since they link to the old urls?
