I received an email saying it was re: a pending referral.
The email directed to the following:
Seems very phishy.
Please edit that link out, if you will. Don't want to infect someone who unwittingly clicks on the link.
Sorry wasn't trying to infect anyone, that is why I said it looked Phishy. The email said it was from Hubpages. Sorry I did not explain that. I thought it might be helpful for others to know that there is an email saying it is coming from Hubpages with what looks like a malicious link in it.
I see what you mean. People often click on links without much reflection, and not everyone is tech savvy either. One method sometimes used is to slightly edit the link - like insert a space after http:// - to avoid creating a live hyperlink.
