My adsense earnings dropped tremendously, i want to get rid of the hubpages ad. How do i do it?
I believe you would go to earnings, then affiliates and then deactivate.
Many people (even those who don't have the ad program active yet_ have reported lowered earnings. The Google algorithm change in early March is one of the main reasons for this.
Many people on the ad program are saying that it almost completely compensates for Adsense losses (it does for me.)
However if you really want to turn it off, it may be best contacting Hubpages directly: http://hubpages.com/contact_us/
Remember they will still show the Ad Program on their own page impressions.
EDIT: Aevans is right, click Configure on the left hand side of the Ad Program on the earnings page to deactivate it.
hi wrylilt, will my hubs still show the hubpages ad even if i remove my account just like adsense?
Yes. Even then Hubpages ad will be shown for the 40% of Hubpages time, that is theirs and not part of your account.
Regarding AdSense income, during the past couple of weeks, my income has come down very, very low. Pageviews are also only around 50% of the previous. May be due to Google algorithm change. May improve gradually.

Pretty frustrating when I get a significant traffic spike only to see CPM values plummet. My Google Analytics stay steady for the most part as far as page time, bounce rate and things of that nature. Why does this always happen?

Feeling slightly apprehensive and even a little guilty for having done so! Do HubPages earn a share of my Adsense earnings and what would the effect be if everyone switched to Adsense?

I think it is related to images being used for the HUB ads and Google ads. When I turned off the Hub ads my adsense revenue rose significantly. I think it is because the block of adsense ads to the right of the column of text below the title returned to text based rather than image based. I think...
