So I had a hub unpublished due to they say having pixelated or watermarked images. I don't know what the heck they're talking about, I had permission to use each picture from the original artist and my hub states as much. None are watermarked or pixelated, copyrighted, etc, and I don't know what the heck the problem is supposed to be. Any ideas?
Hey Pandora,
I wouldn't worry about the "watermark" issue. The pixelated issue is about graininess of the pictures. I too have encountered this issue and the pictures only had to be reduced in size, so the picture is clearer.
I hope that helps.
It does not, I am afraid to say. None of them are pixelated in any noticeable way i can perceive, and the hub features dozens of images. Naturally there is no indication which image they have found so imperfect as to justify unpublishing my hub with no warning and causing me to lose all backlinks, aging and comments.
Perhaps it is because it is a controversial issue whose anniversary is approaching? I see no justification for this approach, even should the hub contain a pixelated image.
AT this point I reckon it would just be easier and make more sense to republish it elsewhere. Don't have time for these games.
Thank anyway Cags!
Perhaps you could give an example so we could check for you? because obviously someone is seeing things you aren't.
Pandoras Box, sorry to hear that your hub got unpublished. You said you had permission to use each picture from the original artist for all your photos. But if the photos are watermarked, they will still be flagged as HP doesn't have a way of knowing for sure that you indeed have permission to use said photos. The HP rule says all watermarked and pixelated photos will be flagged. I had a few hubs flagged that way too. My highest viewed hub at the time was unpublished because of one watermarked photo, which I didn't realized was watermarked because the watermark used was so light. By the time, I deleted the offending photo and got my hub republished, my hub no longer existed in Google search.. and it was on page one before. Just sharing to let you know you're not alone. Good luck!
The pixelation may not be identifiable for human observation. It they are full size, change to half or quarter size,

I'm new here at HUB and every one of my hubs has warnings and I've been told that I will be terminated soon because everything I post is substandard. I have read all the Terms. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong and since I'm "punished" and none of them can be viewed, I...

I used to like to bring the silly moderation messages to light, in order to hopefully get better explanations of the new rules that HP created throughout 2011.Eventually, the lack of definitions by HP just became irritating and I stopped and just left the account to fester. But, for 2012, I was...

My hubs have been attacked lately and scrutinized. Now my best one is down due to "watermarked or pixelated photo". I know what a watermark is, but what the heck is a pixelated photo!?
