do you copy the link into the window that opens when you click a chain button?
Ummm, looks like we have to start with the beginning
Link consists of two parts - anchor text and web address. Anchor text can be pretty much any consecutive set of words, and web address should look more or less like "http://www.somedomain.com/somepage.html".
So, when you highlight the words that serve as an anchor text, you need to copy the http... part into the window that appears

Hello I am trying to create hyperlinks in my blog posts. I've looked at HTML tutorials but it doesn't seem to work here. I've only every used Wordpress in the past. Wordpress makes it easy to make hyperlinks but I don't think Hubpages has a tool for it.Please help thanks!

I give! I've searched the first 3 or 4 pages of "Getting Help" Forum and I've read the entire Link's Capsule section in the Learning Center (http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/using-hubtool). That Hub, by the way, has a large number of Quick Links in it. How do you create a list of topics...

hiin some area of hubpages you can not write anchor tag.it will rendor as it is and does't redirect to your page so you have to use anchor button on upper menu and set your link in it
