The Panda update seems to punish too many backlinks from comments on other blogs, etc. and is also against HP TOS if it is spammed. So it seems Google likes links directly from blog posts themselves rather than the comment links.
This has resulted in another stream of income for my blogs. I have received several requests to place a short paragraph with a link at the end of one or two of my older blog posts. The companies pay $10 or so for the links. They write the short paragraph. I've been paid over $200 in the last few months from this alone. I am curious if other bloggers are benefitting from this as well.
Note: I always check where the link is going. No porn or other AdSense TOS restricted sites allowed. So far, all requests have come from ligitimate businesses working to build links.
That is really interesting. I have a blog right now, but it is still young. right now I am working on stepping away from a sub domain name to my own domain name, but I am slacking a little. Thanks for the info though. It seems as though bloggers have not been to affected from the new update. I think I am going to begin sharpening my blog and updating it more frequently.
Smanty, the action is all on the tax blogs. My other blog have not had offers.

I'm sorry to ask this question but I've got to ask. To make a long story short, I'm noticing that my personal blogs have experienced a near identical drop in traffic as my hubs here on HP. The drop started right around the end of September - the same time HP got witch slapped. I've looked at why...

The recent Panda update produced a typical change in traffic for HP shown below.I have often wondered why the change is so immediate and consistent. As shown in the image below it would suggest that the change is not the sum of all the changes in quality rating and/or penalties applied to all the...

Lately, I've been getting a lot of requests from people asking me to write hubs for them with backlinks for them and recently someone actually contacted me to put links to a survey site in my hubs. He said that he cloaks the links to pass HubPages censors and that he'll pay me for every completed...

Just saw on the news that Google's profits are falling more and more every month, maybe a sign that panda and penguin are a waste of their time and effort?Maybe the old adage "If it aint broken. don't fix it" applies in this case and they will realise that they were better off as we all...
