Regarding picture on the hubs

I've published 11 hubs among which most hubs are without any picture. Recently, I've added pictures in few hubs of mine. I've learned it how to use pictures on hub but want your help in few other things:

I am unable to set up a bigger size of the picture. How to set the size right? Whichever size I am selecting, on the hub it appears to be a very small one. Why?

Suppose I want to add a photo capsule then kindly teach me to do it step by step as it turns out to be very complicated.

Hope to receive some kind of help. Thanks in advance.

      Hi Shampa,

Using your mouse look to the left hand side of your page when you are in edit mode.  You will see an Add feature.  This is where you click on the photo capsule or any other type of capsule that you wish to add.

When you import a photo into your capsule you have the choice of it being presented full size, half size or as a small thumbnail.  It can also be bordered or go without a border.  All of these choices are in the capsule itself once in edit mode.

Hopefully this will help.  You can also go to the HubPages learning center for more details.  Using your own photos is best but if you wish to use others, wikimedia images are safe to use.  Credit other photos with those links and make certain that you have permission to use them.

Some photos that are supposedly free to use...in the fine print it says only for non-commercial use.  Since we can potentially make money on HubPages, I think that this throws it into the realm of commercial usage.

The pictures you add to your hubs, must follow HP guidelines, which means that they must be a specific size, in order to work properly.

As for making pictures bigger? You cannot really make a picture bigger, but you can adjust the photo capsule the picture is in, so as to make the picture appear bigger. It stretches the picture and if the picture isn't correct size, then it will distort.

The photo capsule is designed to be a stand alone capsule, which means, it can be on it's own alignment.

    or

You can even put photo capsules next to text capsules, by selecting the "right adjustment" arrow, which will push it to the side.
