What's up with the security question? The first thing I'm asked is "What was the telephone number you grew up with". Well, I'm not about to answer that! My step-dad still uses that number and would not be very kind to anyone he doesn't know who happens to call. How do I get a different question??
If any HP employee actually called that number they would deserve the richest tongue lashing your step-dad could deliver.
There would be absolutely no reason to call it, though. Very few of us would know who has that number at this time. I wouldn't worry about it.
I'm very very very unwilling to give out that type of personal info. Maybe I could make one up....(didn't think about that! lol)
Or maybe not. It said it was incorrect. (not a made up number either, just not mine)
If you are answering it that means you have already given it when you set up the security. You will either have to answer correctly and then re-set to another question or go through HP.
I went back & got a different question. All done!

For the past 5 or 6 hours I have been dealing with some fraud and identity theft that I discovered and I'm now really weary of my online security; I hope some HP "techies" can help... I use the Windows 7 built-in firewall and I use the free version of Avast for antivirus. ...

I'm planning an advice hub where somehow or other people will ask advice - the advice will be wacky - I think it would be great if I could get one or two other hubbers to also contribute their advice (on the same questions) and so instead of it just being my wacky advice, it could be two or three...

I've often been accused of being arrogant, and it's usually by people who disagree with me about something. I've noticed that some of my favorite historical personages have also been accused of arrogance. What exactly is arrogance? And is it always bad?Is there any non-pejorative way to say that...
