This happened Saturday evening, just before the band Sugarland was supposed to come on and perform. I'm sure some of you have heard about it, but if you hadn't caught the news in a few days, you may not have.
A sudden gust of wind(which preceded a storm) tore into the stage set, making it collapse, and it fell into the crowd that was in front of it. It killed four instantly, and one more died later at the hospital. Many more were injured.
Here is the latest news about it:

And this is a video someone in the grandstands took as it happened(it's pretty disturbing):

Some say it could've been prevented, with the proper precautions--but others say it was just a freak accident.
Whatever the case, I feel so badly for the victims and their families. This was an event that highlights just about every county or state fair, and one so many look forward to.
The people who are down on the track--right in front of the stage--are always considered the fortunate ones...but not this time.
I just hope and pray that all the other victims of this horrific incident survive.
I saw this on the news. Very sad. But it looked like everyone there jumped on it and helped each other. Which I thought was very positive. Wow - Just watched the video. Pretty amazing. My heart goes out tot he people and the families that were hurt or lost.
