I checked on my "how to bake without eggs" hub because it was in pink (needs revision) and the hub has been erased!!! How can that happen? I haven't even logged in since I did that hub :-(

The hub isn't erased. It has been taken out of your line up of hubs and placed under the "need revision" area. You will not find it under published hub or unpublished hubs.
Use the drop down menu and click on needs revision. You should be able to find it.
