So, being a bit determined, I have worked most of the day on a hub page that is an index to my August hubs. Every single time i have published it it has dropped several links. Once it dropped and entire box.
SO, other than shooting it any ideas? I am not long on patience right now. smile

I had the same thing happen today.  I had a hub with a  LOT of links that I had to look up and then link, and then I had to do it all over again.  Made me mad.

Okay, this happened to me a lot when I started out, and I figured out the problem:

A lot of sites have html in their descriptions or titles that mess up the link capsule.  Make sure you have no slashes or backslashes in the names or descriptions of your link before you hit the "publish" button, and it should be fine!

No, I don't mean in the URL, but in the description or title, after you've clicked "check link," and before you click "add link."

you don't have to use a link capsule to ad links to a hub, in a text capsule edit mode type in your link, highlight it and then click on the icon that looks like a small chain, a box will appear where you can add the url and choose whether to open the link on a new window or in the same window. check out this hub for an example.........jimmy

I've been testing the link capsule and can't find the bug.  If you post exactly what you are inputing and losing, we'll see if we can reproduce it.

Sorry for the troubles...hopefully we can resolve it easily.

    O.k..well, for example.

I want to do an index for each month for the pages I published that month, under descriptive heading.
So, on August's Index I would have a heading:
    Livestock

and then links to all my August posts about livestock (3 )
    http://hubpages.com/hub/Raising_Turkeys … _Homestead
    http://hubpages.com/hub/Heritage_Breeds … k_and_Meat
    http://hubpages.com/hub/Choosing_Heritage_Breeds

Then I would do another link box with maybe, Gardening, as the title and do the same.

Everything is fine until I finish and publish. In the publishing process several links will disappear from various headings, maybe one link will go from livestock, and the whole of gardening, and then everything will be fine in eco friendly homemaking.

    Does that make sense?
Then if I redo it..different links will disappear. It has never published with all the links intact.

I tried to figure out how to do what Jimmy said but I couldn't.
