You have to add Amazon products through the Amazon capsule in edit mode. Amazon widgets from Amazon - cannot be added to a hub.
When using the HubPages Amazon capsule you can select the products to add, you add the code and can also put a text description on it to. This works (in my opinion) better than using the keyword option which is also offered and is quicker to use. Selecting the products and adding the code lets you match the product to the hub more accurately. Hope this helps, at the foot of this page is a link to the Learning Center which covers this and other useful topics.

Is there a balance of Amazon products on a page that makes a hub overly promotional? Or is it dependent on the individual hub (over and beyond the 50 words per product)?

How come these can't be placed in hubs? Some hubs can receive a lot of traffic from the UK, so ordering a product from the US would be more costly (or maybe there's no difference in delivery charge?)
