This morning I had 44 visitors to my hub and now it says that there is only 41. How can that be?
This gets asked all the time. I wondered about it at first, too.
As I understand it, this stat covers the past 24 hours, but it may be updated several times a day.
So if you got a bunch of hits early in the cycle, and you check again a few hours later when the overall number of views was down slightly, the number would be lower.
If I check my stats at 8 a.m. it covers the 24 hour period back to 8 a.m. the day before.
If I check them again at noon, it covers the period for the 24 hour period back to noon the day before.
It is called "sliding window". It shows how many visitors came during last 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Because of that it goes up and down constantly. The only figure that always grows is in the column called "ever".
This question is also listed in the FAQ sticky thread, just for future reference.

Do you check your hub statistics daily or weekly?

I took my 30-days page views count; divided it by 30 and further divided it by the number of published hubs. Thus I got a fair representation of my average number of visitors per day per hub. It comes to a whopping 1.6! How about yours?

I don't often moan but even I am getting a bit fed up of the 'waiting' period. I thought it was 24 hours? I have recently published a hub that, by the time the ads come up, everybody who is going to read it has read it, in other words any chance of ad clicks has disappeared. Please can you either...

My hubber score has been 99 or 100 for as long as I can remember, and daily views between 600 and 700+. Then, we all received the "big announcement" in the mail. My hubber score is now 93 and views are just above 300. Coincidence?
