I have internet explorer 9, and I am having trouble pasting my ad code for google adsense into the HTML source for my hubpages website. I can copy the ad code, but when I open the html source text, I can't paste the code into it. Thanks for any help you can give me.
You cannot edit the HTML of a hub - you have to enter your Google ID in the affiliate settings.

Are you referring to the 16-digit publisher ID listed in the affiliate page? How do you enter this ID? I am not familiar with editing html text.
